How did you house train your dog? pretty much came trained...but still had some accidents...basically just reminded him where he was supposed to go!

Does he sleep inside or outside? inside

Is he inside or outside most of the day? depends on the temp...when its warm, outside...now, he has to be inside

What food do you feed him? kirkland chicken and rice

What kind of dog is he and how old? mutt (husky, gsd, terrier) about 1

Does he know tricks? If so, which kind? sit, lay down, stay, heel, high five, shake, come, boop! (noses our noses), hup! (jump up onto something), OK!(w/a head tap) - means go play!...and thats all i can think of!
If he knows tricks how did you teach them?
obedience school...the 'fun' ones, we taught him pretty quickly...using things he did naturally, and putting a command to them with treats...the more 'serious' ones, like come...he had to be professionally trained...but my dog is special...he had some issues, lol

Does your dog still have accidents? How many? well, i came home to poop in my room today...that was the first in a LONG time...but like i said, my dog is special...he likes to hold his poop in...

all kinds of tricks (fetching the newspaper from the front yard, picking up items from the floor as directed, shake, roll over, and lots more) as well as advanced obedience.

clicker training.

Toy Poodle, almost 4 yrs old in a week / Toy Poodle, 3 yrs old

Does he know tricks? If so, which kind??
Sit, down, stay, sneeze, touch things with makers, rolls over, shakes, gives paw, off, wait and up / Sit, down, stay, drop it, leave it, sneeze, bark, touch things with marker, rolls over, gives paw, scratches feet on grownd, off, wait and up(even up for jumping in the air for me to catch him).

If he knows tricks how did you teach them??
Positive reinforcements with treats then discovered the clicker and it seems to work a lot better. The clicker seems to make them think how to learn a lot faster. / Same, I actually started the clicker method on Boomer and saw that I loved it and moved on with teaching it to Kassie.

Some times at the door, not often / Never

Is she/he crate trained??
She was but doesn't need it as much now / No

i havnt read all the answers you´ve gotten but carpets ... it´s prob a good idea to take them off the floor for a few weeks ( if it s a pup )

How did you house train your dog? bowie essentially came house broken, but we had a few accidents in the beginning. took him out often, praised when he went, and did not let him out of our site. same way i housebroke multiple puppies prior

Is he inside or outside most of the day? inside. i do not believe in leaving dogs outside, and i never suggest or support leaving them outside unattended. bowie is outside when i am out there to be with him - which is much more often in the spring/summer.
What food do you feed him? bowie is raw fed
What kind of dog is he and how old? bowie - 7-8 year old doberman pinscher

too many to list here - hes fully trained through novice obedience and were working on open, he knows multiple tricks, etc from paws, high five, crawl, whisper, speak, turn, you name it - almost all were clicker trained.
Does your dog still have accidents? How many?he didnt always, but he has incresingly more -- he has a history of an atonic bladder and occassional UTIs, so sometimes his bladder leaks when he is sleeping if he has not gone out in awhile, and after numerous perineal surgeries (5) he has a weak anal sphincter, so if he has to go occassionally some feces will fall out without him knowing it. as he doesnt consciously do these things, he is never punished for it and there is really nothing that can be done to prevent it. its just part of aging for him - its what happens when some dogs get old.
Is he crate trained? yes. he doesnt use it much in the house now, but he is crated in the car, at friends houses, at the vet, etc. all my dogs have been, and always will be, crate trained.

Well it won't be a problem for 3 of us, my mom will be...stupid about it for a while. Buuut as I said before she was very upset to give the 4 day dog away. I miss him.

Does he know tricks? If so, which kind? - The standard... sit, stay, lay. Some tricks they developed themselves, such as opening the fridge to get a snack.
If he knows tricks how did you teach them? - Repetetive training in short sessions. Push the rump down, say "sit," praise the dog for sitting. Rinse and repeat. They catch on pretty quick.
Does your dog still have accidents? How many? - On occassion, but not often. Usually only if left alone in the house all day, and not every time.
Is he crate trained? - No.

Does he know tricks? If so, which kind? No, but we are working on "shake" as in shake the water off!
If he knows tricks how did you teach them? To teach above trick, everytime he shakes water off, command shake and praise.
Does your dog still have accidents? How many? Hes only had 2 that I can remember of.
Is he crate trained? Yes. He'll kennel into anything I tell him to. Truck, boat, kennel.
