The other day I had to take some pictures for an english report. So, me being the sad, depressing, writer I am, I needed a sad pic, so we went to the grave yard. Some may not think this is art, but for me I do. I really think these pictures are beautiful pieces of art and thats just it, I am not trying to torment in anyway.

If by any chance, someone knew one of these people, and would like me to cut that image, no problem, I will.

Heres one for a little boy who was misscarried. I knew that family.

Heres another.

and another...

And the last I am going to post...

If you would like to see more, I can upload more right after my homework is done.

Hey it's a fact of life. I love the sad dreary picture of the faded, dirty, flowers..... it is so true to life.
I have many many pics of my relatives stones, I don't think of it as offensive at all. I think of it as history etched in stone. ;)

Not offensive even a little bit to me.
They are beautiful, artistic pictures.

The last one is so sad .... poor family ! Whenever I visit Tom's and my " bench " I pass Babyland and stop to think of the families who have lost their dreams . There is one there that is a baby Jane Doe ..... she was found frozen in the snow outside our local hospital . Since then , any new Mother can drop off a new baby inside a hospital with no questions asked .

Beautiful pictures, what do you shoot with? And what way did you use to convert to B&W?

i really like graveyards. me and my friends actually used to go sit in them at night. i reckon its just a really calm place. "rest in peace" is there for a reason.

we found a few weird graves that felt warm around them and some that had like, circles cut in the grass around them. so we avoided them.

i like those photos their good.

My mom likes taking pics in graveyards, so you're not the only weird one! :p
She's even got a few with little specks in them, orbs maybe? But I'm sure they can be logically explained away...o_0

Thanks everybody!

Zoe, I took them with Canon IS-s3, after I uploaded them onto the computer, and made them black and white with Adobe Photoshop CS.... I can take black and white pics with my camera, but I like to have them in colour and B&W....

Thanks again, I am uploading more right now :)

Well there are are few different ways to convert to B&W in Photoshop. I was wondering which way you used? The 3rd one you could bump the contrast some.

The 2nd and last ones I think it would be kool if you added a bit of noise.

Also I definitely recommend always taking in color and converting to b&w. You joined my forum didn't you? You should come back and post up your pics!
