We live in the country, and often have animals dumped by brainless idiots. Most recently, two puppies were dumped out, and they have obviously had very little human interaction. We could not catch them, and they would try to eat, but if the other dogs came near they would run away. I keep the dog food in our barn, and managed to catch one by leaving the door to the barn open while the other dogs were kept away. But, when I tried to remove him to put him in a pen, he bit me! He also bit my husband. I don't think he is really mean, just scared. We finally managed to put food in the pen, and eventually they went in and we closed the door. I have been in there a few times since, to replenish food and water, and add a dog house and some hay to bed down in...but they cower in a corner while I am in there. Can anybody help me to figure out how to get them to realize we don't mean any harm? And thanks for reading this long post! :lol-sign:
