I have a cattle dog now. I don't even....

Umm the story goes like this.

I was in a meeting all day then got back to work and checked petfinder for small medium young dogs. I saw they put up a new photo and description for this dog I seen. He was 16 lbs. listed as a cattle dog.

So I just dropped everything to go meet him.

Long story short he has good toy drive an food drive. He is fast as can be. He is a bit bitey with Mia. First intro was great but later he got over stimmed and nipped. I think he'll figure it out. Basically when Mia is a jerk to Summer, Hank i a jerk to Mia. He is very sweet and confident. Tons of energy. Tons and tons.

So um yeah. We are doing a 30 day trial and see how it goes. He seems to back off when told off. He is submissive with the shelter dogs and Summer. Mia just moves fast and it overstimulates him. Understandable.

The shelter folk really wanted me to try it out. I told them I did agility and they were excited.

Seems like a great dog so if he doesn't work out here I am sure an agility friend will want him.

I don't have Internet at home! I am getting that this weekend an my phone sucks for photos. Imagine crossbone but with a black mask and narrower head. I am pretty sure he's part rat terrier though they just called him a heeler.

The shelter dubbed him Hank. I can't decide if that stays or not.

Good god is he a busy guy. Lol.

I can't see the link!! It probably is. He was at Oklahoma City animal control.

Mia is hiding. Poor thing. Hank is settling in good though.

He's definitely ACD in temperament. Maybe a bit softer. Definitely has a mouth on him and he's crazy. I can't decide if IM insane or not. He does not walk, just sprints. And he likes his teeth a lot. But so far I see good signs. He seems agreeable except when over stimmed. His play is a bit rough for the paps but he's not aggressive about it. He redirects well when I redirect him. When they're hanging out they ignore each other.

Man he can fly though! Crazy athletic dog.

Sounds about right! Haha I'm reading your description out loud to Ken and he's just laughing and nodding. Everything from the sprinting everywhere & crazy athleticism to nipping at things when excited/over stimm. And being crazy--Cbone is crazy, but I think it takes a special kind of crazy to live with him!

Super excited for you and to hear his stories!

And if I could find a legit "Cattle Rat" breeder, I would never have anything else. :p

ETA -- Crossbone is 22lbs and 16" tall

He had this bully stick outside and was sprinting and doing donuts with it flailing over his head. He's gonna be fun whether that is with me or not
