Snow Dogs!

How interesting! They are a little bigger than I thought, for some reason!
Laz is a Mioritic, my first, but probably not my last. I am totally crazy about him. He is everything I hoped he would be. He is a Romanian breed and they are fairly "primitive", there are between two dozen and fifty mioritics in the us currently so I'm told.
Laszlo is only nine months old, so he'll get bigger but he's actually on the smallish side for a male Mioritic. He requires constant brushing, his coat mats, and he sheds like nothing i've ever seen (and I've owned a long-haired Akita), I love him like mad and I wouldn't trade him for anything. He is a heart dog.

Kind of sad for me, Ripley is Dane/Pointer and his whole life he has been Pointer healthy, but suddenly he has been aging in the abrupt, precipitous way of so many Danes. Even last year he would have been running the hill having as much fun as the kids. Happens to the best of us I guess. He has a warm bed right in front of the wood stove.
