Just wanted to share a small success I had in educating my sister.

As most of you know I dog-sat for my sisters chihuahua this past week. When I asked her what Phoebe was eating she said "Oh I've got her on Beneful."

I nearly choked. So I told her that Beneful would NOT be on the dinner plate at my house. Never will, in fact.

I went food shopping at Petsmart to try and get a better food-not necessarily the best food because I know how my sister is. I needed to come up with an inexpensive, readily available food that has small bite sized kibbles. I know it's not the best but I settled on Nutro Ultra holistic for small dogs.

So it's a small victory, but now her chi isn't pooping the rainbow, nor eating colors, dyes and preservatives in the form of a corn based food.

Do you think you will be able to convince her to keep her on a better brand of dog food?

I certainly do. I told her that if she wanted me to start buying the dog food, I would. (AKA: guilting her into it!.)

you're a clever guy there, Ed!

Good job!
Hey, maybe if you got this far with her, maybe you can slowly work her into an even better food.
But even if not, Nutro is way better than Beneful!
:D

Well, Phoebe was eating solid gold with seameal and a tiny bit of raw while she was here....:lol-sign:

Ed,

I am very proud of you for all the work you have done with your sister and with her chi. Keep up with it... you have made a difference I am sure, but sometimes it takes hearing it a few times to believe it.;)

Bravo for your efforts!
