Small Dog Owners: Clothes for tiny dogs?

My aunt just got a Chihuahua puppy today and asked me for sites online where she can purchase clothes for him. We're talking tiny he doesn't weigh a pound yet. I have big dogs and the only time they wear clothes is when Savannah is shaved short and wears a sweater or her coat both of which were given to me lol. So needless to say I am clueless here. Do any of you have any sites you'd suggest?

I'd check on eBay or etsy for xxsmall or xxxsmall clothes. They should have a sizing chart, and you can just measure the puppy to make sure you get the right size.

I would definitely check out Etsy. I know there are a ton of shops on there that make custom sized dog clothes.

For itty puppies, something custom would be best. I'll echo etsy, and also:

^^^This. At that size, you'll probably only be able to find custom-made clothes anyway. Plus he'll probably grow out of anything in just a few weeks.

You could also cut sleeves off fuzzy sweaters when he gets a little bigger.

I agree with the sock thing. That worked well for Lucy when she was a puppy. I didn't want to spend a bunch of money on something she wouldn't be able to fit in for long, but I wanted to keep her warm, so it was a good solution. Take a look at dog clothes sites, and if they don't some small enough, check out some custom dog clothes on Etsy. Any chance you can take some pictures?

Yeah I thought about the sock thing not long after I posted this and told her to try that. She was already trying with a sweater. She did order a couple things on Etsy though. As for pictures I haven't seen him in person yet but I could ask her to send me some. I was worried that she got ripped off by a designer dog breeder but she told me she got him at the SPCA and that made me really happy.
