I don't know if she's always had this or not, but I just noticed a hard, boney bump on my dog's forehead. It feels like it's part of her skull. It feels about the size of a 1/2 of blueberry. It doesn't move. Any idea what this could be? Something cosmetic? Something more serious? Any feedback would be appreciated.

If you part the fur can you see the bump?

Cysts can sometimes feel like hard little bumps about that size. Cysts aren't anything to worry about but next time you're at the vets you may want to mention it to them.

Can you move the bump? If it is attached to the skin or the muscle (of which there isn't much on the head) you should be able to move the bump a little. If the bump has no give that means it's attached to the bone and a bit more concerning. I would definitely have it checked by the vet just to be sure. I hate bumps. They scare me :(

The bump does not move at all, but I took her to the vet. She said it was nothing to be concerned about. Still a bit freaked, but nothing I can do now.
