I don't think you could quite call this an argument...it's called education.
I have fed canned foods mixed with kibble for almost 40 years to my dogs. They have been long lived and have had every one of their pearly whites and good functioning kidneys when they passed on...except one Standard Poodle which I got as an adult and was predisposed to kidney failure at the age of 12
Basically there are many myths about dog foods out there that were started by dog food corporations (trust me, no one is making much money on selling canned foods...I myself make about .20 cents a can compared to almost $15.00 a bag of kibble). If I were out for money I too would be recommending kibble over canned to my clients. I have also seen many small breed dogs (and many large dogs) suffer from horrible dental issues from eating only kibble diets.
