Sluggish, whiney, Vet time?

So my dog started acting weird last night. He was whining a bit and moving around pretty slow for him. Usually he vocalizes when he needs to go out and gets very excited. But now he's just sortof... moping around, taking the stairs slow. He whined when he bent to eat his food today, he also has been laying down to drink.

I've touched him all over and he doesn't seem to have any particular pain. He still wants food and water, he went normal poo this morning.

Any Ideas?

If he's not better tonight we were going to try to take him to the vet in the morning. Should I go Sooner?

So I come home early from work to take him to the vet and he greets me like nothing is wrong. He wags his tail and dances around.

My boyfriend was here all day and he says he was super mellow all morning. He also got a neck massage.

He seems fine now. We're just going to hold off on the vet as long as he's doing okay, cause I don't really know what the vet would be able to see.
