my laptop is running really slowly lately and i was wondering if anybody had anything i could try to speed it up before i chuck it and buy a new one that i can't really afford.
the hd is a little less than half full. i've run a full virus scan (avast), malwarebyte's anti-malware, and spybot search and destroy. i've also defragged it. none of it made any difference.
it's probably five years old, so getting on in years. it's making me nuts. i don't know what else to try.
