so i got a call at 10pm last night from the driver, he was doing fine and hed be home around lunch time, this morning a call saying he was just leaving boston and it would be around 12:30 then a call at 1 saying hed got a littl elost but was on his way.
at 1:30 i met him at the bottom of our driveway (monster of a driveway) hes SOOO cute, a lil stinky and needs a bath but i wanted to let him settle in a little first.
hes NOT used ot a laeash however with a little draggin he quickly got the idea that i wanted him to come with me and was fine once we got nearer the top of the driveway.
i took him round the garden on the leash and he peed and pooped then inside for the fun to start.
he does NOT like stairs...which will make life interesting as hes already almost 30lbs and we live in a raised ranch. tonight will be "familiar with stairs" time lol.
he came in, and met charlie the cocker first, charlie gave him a good grumble but since then no issues, then he met the cat, the cat gave him the WTF look and bolted, he climbed into my lap like ummmmm, what the heck was THAT!:yikes:
so i figured id let him and charlie kinda get to knwo each other a lil before letting the chihuahuas up.
everything whent well, then i let the chi up...
the chihuahuas HATE me...lol.
more than anything there afraid of him i think, vixie just keeps her distance, dodger will growl at him. rosie barks.
he tries to play a little with the little guys but they wont have anything to do with it, im correcting him when he paws at them but not when hes just sniffing. they dont like that and are giving both me and poor skye death stares. they will get over it quickly im sure...untill then im on high guard.
he LOVES the toys, found the toy box very quickly.
so after a quick call to the driver, i found out he hasnt eaten in about 8 hours and he was sniffing at charlies food, but hes being raw fed so i offred him some chicken...well it was love, he was a little confused about the technicalities behind it all, that chewing things different when you cant just swallow it whole.
so it took him a little while of licking before he finally slowly got the hang of it with a little help from me holding it at first. after a little bit he got the hang of it and LOVED it...so now ill have to be on the lookout for runny poop but he LOVED it.
a bathroom break, again with the stairs, that parts gonna be real interesting and then back in where he took a long nap.
upon waking back outside for a potty break hes slowly getting better with the inside stairs, its the outside ones and going down is not too bad, but going UP the outside stairs (they are typical deck steps so their open. between them and im thinking thats the issue.) so i might concentrate on the inside stairs for now and go out via the patio doors then once hes completly comfortable with those ill start on the outside steps.
everytime we go outside he pees, its the pooping hes had 1 accident thus far, not too bad, and only 15 minutes after a big poop so it wasnt realy his fault.
hes VERY sweet, loves everyone thus far, follows pretty close. when he gets rambunctious hes a little mouthy, but thats typical puppy lol.
hes gonna take some work, hes had no training at all thus far. so were staritng at step one, but being hes only 10 weeks we have time lol.
and on that note...
some pictures and there will be a skye blogspot hen he takes his next nap, right now hes pawing at me to play with him. lol.
