I just don't know what to do for our guy anymore.
We have a 9 year old male, neutered Weimaraner. We switched him off of his IAMS diet about a year ago. (I can't believe the stuff they have in there!) We put him on Timberwolf instead. He switched relatively easily but had some horrible gas. Things were going well after awhile though. He seemed to enjoy his food a lot again and the gas let off. His stools were easier to pass for the first time in... well... ever! Now he's loosing weight like mad, horrible gas again and really, really nervous about everything. I know he has fall allergies but he's chewing his feet up like crazy. I've taken to soaking his paws in baking soda water, he's been to the vet and had an allergy shot too. Nothing seems to really help though. OH and he has huge separation anxiety issues. We are working with those the best we can too. He's not so much of a big chewer as he was when he's a pup. He has some bones, a rope toy, big plastic ball and more available for chewing though.
So does anyone have any new ideas that I have not thought of yet? I'm just getting started on the whole brainstorming our next step here.
I am always afraid to post for help in forums too because of the fact that I tend to get some pretty harsh responses. If I didn't love our guy, I wouldn't be here looking for help though.
