this sign cracks me up

Oakley tried to look for the missing 'h'

It isn't up there either, mom!

And now just some more pics on our walk:

I don't really see it as funny either. If an AC officer happened to be around you would have been in a lot of trouble for outright ignoring the sign when you knew exactly what it meant.

Very uncool to have your dog unleashed when it specifically states NOT to have them loose (even if the sign has a typo). Millie is very well trained off leash and she's hardly ever on leash here, but you bet when it's required, out of courtesy at the VERY least I leash her.

Oakley is as handsome as ever.

I agree, Oakley should have been on leash. I understand that there was a typo, but you still knew what it was supposed to say. Seriously, things like that lead to dogs being banned from places outright.

VERY important point. I didn't even think to mention that.

Exactly. Other people should be able to enjoy on leash parks without having to deal with off leash dogs.

I think everyone needs to lighten up. Jesus.

It was very funny, and Oakley is as cute as a button!

I knew there would be posts telling us to lighten up. . .

To me:

Typo on sign- very funny.

Off leash dog next to sign that requests dogs be on leash, ironic, yes, but mildly irresponsible and not funny.

Aw come on guys. She was just showing off her gorgeous boy. Poor decision, maybe, but we all make those. I didn't see any traffic in the pics anyway. Looks pretty deserted to me. BUT, it is important to show responsible ownership by obeying the rules. Handsome man Oakley is :)

^ Yes!! Typos on public signs are funny, blatantly and inconsiderately allowing your dog off leash in a leash only park--not even a little bit funny...Having a dog freaked out by loose dogs approaching and seeing parks ban dogs due to people ignoring leash rules has changed my perspective maybe....

If someone posted pics of a typo on a "Pick Up After Your Dog" sign, posted pics of the dog crapping and then were like "Ha-ha, look he took a dump and I didn't pick it up because the sign had a typo" I wouldn't really find it that funny either.......

Okay, so how the hell is this situation any different than the little fat dogs jumping tall jumps? I don't think we really need double standards here.

Dogs are supposed to be on leash. Your dog was not. That is not cool. End of story. Sure, the sign is pathetic and it was funny, but it's still no reason to have your dog off leash. Even if you did decide "Hey, I'm going to take this sign literally" you're still not obeying it...unless Oakley is truly leased. Which I highly doubt.

I never once said it's okay, I just don't think that people need to jump all over someone for something like this.

Lol I can't believe no one has fixed that.

And hey I'll be guilty right along with ya Dreeza, the only place where dogs are allowed to be off-leash here is the dog park, but I let mine off in other areas as well.

wow guys. This is in the neighborhood where i have lived for 1.5 yrs...they just got "new" signs...

Oaks was on the leash....there were other dogs around, I d*cked around til they left, unclipped him for all the pics...chill out. I know my neighborhood like the back of my freaking hand...I KNOW when & where it is ok to temp have him off leash to snap a few shots or to throw a few sticks for him. sheesh ppl. Oakley knows the "stay" & "come" command like it is his freaking job, yet I STILL only let him off leash when there is no other dog in sight (and you can see for like 1/4 mile...trust me)....it is like the safest place to have a dog off leash. I'm pretty sure Oakley knows the area better than I do... we walk there on (and sometimes off) ...every. freaking. day.
