I saw that web site on the news. It's all propaganda, It's not real they put it on photoshop to make the photos. It still is horrible though.

Oh thats a relief though we know similar stuff does still happen. I was wondering though some of it did look photo shopped.

Those photos are disturbing but stuff like that does happen, mostly to rodents and monkies. A lot of cures came from testing on animals and a lot of diseases are researched that way. I think it is still cruel and disgusting. Those pictures real or otherwise looked more like torture to animals than doing scientific study. (I don't want to sound like I am for animal research.)

I feel obliged to hop onto my soapbox for a minute. Don't get me wrong, I'm an animal lover, as we all are here, but I'm not a radical animal rights person, although I agree with many of their views. I've never flung blood or liberated lab monkeys. I eat meat and I wear leather, so the PETA folks, for example, certainly wouldn't claim me. :) Still, if you’re sickened by the thought of cats or other animals treated like the ones on that site, I’ve posted my reply to this elsewhere on the Web; it had grown ‘way too long for a message board post, even for long-winded ol' me! But you can find out more on the Web about the subject by checking out a link I post on the long reply. If you’re curious, click here. Otherwise, just read this bit for the basics: I think the pics are probably real. Animal testing can be cruel, and, while it has helped develop life-saving meds and treatments, it often is used for developing more trivial items like cosmetics or when another means is available; if that makes you mad, educate yourself -- and others! -- and do something about it, if only in a small way.

I could care less about my health. And if going with out any of the products tested on animals and dieing was an option. I would go with out.

Not only could I care less about the pictures, but, in general, I'm rather thankful that animal testing is done. Smallpox is one of those ailments that I'd hate to have kill me.
