only asking; cause I just saw a VERY typical sibe walk by the house on a leash; but it's colour was a black saddle tri-colour hound colour.

I've never seen anything like it ~ so likely a mix? Very, very typey sibe; just not typey colour; from what I know!

I'm not sure if it's in the breed standard or not, but I do know Sibes do come in that color :)

Yup huskies can come in any sort of colour combination, everything is acceptable, its the PIGMENT that counts ;) The rim around the eyes and the lips should be all black. The nose black is preferred with some people but liver, dudley nose and snow noses are perfectly acceptable. The eyes, anything is acceptable so long as the eyes are clear.

Did the dog look something like these 2 boys at the back?

Those two are brothers, Fargo and Nash. They are purebred Siberian Huskies and superb in harness to boot! Although my fav from this litter is their brother Chevy who is the dog closest to the camera

The agouti husky looks JUST like a wolf! I guarantee the majority of people who think and say they have "Wolves" have a husky of that color!

Oc would you count the last couple in that pic as agouti like punky said because koda looks just like them her colors are just positioned a little different and shes a darker black. I would call her a light red but she has black on her like a saddle back like they do and black on her tail.

Wylie, the Siberian in the center of my signature, is a true agouti. One of the hallmarks of agouti is the banding pattern...the guard hairs are black tipped, cream banded in the middle and then dark all the way down to the root. The undercoat is rich red or charcoal. I love the 'wild' look about them, but unfortunately so many people acquire this breed for color, especially blue eyes, without considering the total package.

I'm not too good at labeling colours but I would say they are red and white saddle-backed ;)

My favourite saying to people who question the colour of my dogs is that Siberians can be any colour, even purple and not be DQ'd in the ring:) My dogs are mostly wolfgrey's and agouti's and I always have people question if they are purebreds.

They theoretically can't be DQ'd, but sadly there is a color prejudice at least in the USA and many judges don't even recognize the less common colors/markings as being a part of the breed. Less common only meaning not typically encountered in show lines. Last summer we were in the ring with a solid white and a very dark red with a loud white neck collar and had the standard pulled and re-ready by the judge. At least he pulled the standard and asked questions rather than just penalizing us! If I could figure out how to upload pictures on here, I would put up some examples of very different colors/markings.

:
Dont you hate when people question if your husky is purebreed just because its not the traditional black and white that they imagine a husky to be.
That goes with about every breed. I was told Regis was an Australian Shepherd Corgi mix, because Corgi's don't come in blue merle.

I have so many people asking what my dog is. She is a Basset Hound but she is mixed with something we are unaware of. But because she doesn't have the generic blood drooping eyes everyone automatically thinks she is not a Basset but something else. There is a pure breed Basset type that she looks exactly like except for her ears not being long enough and that breed does not have the generic Basset eyes.

I don't show but my aunt does and I think it shows these judges knowledge of pure breeds when your knocked points off or they have to ask questions. Of course it would be better for them to ask questions than to just judge.
