Should I get a Sheltland sheep dog?
Or something else.
I have two shelties and they are fun dogs.... two keep each other company well...
They shed alot and need almost daily brushings. They love to run and play even if it is just a squirted waterhose to chase.... They bark and bark and bark and bark... so if you want a quiet dog... don't get a sheltie. But they eat well, are very clean, and have a catishlike attitude.
I've never had a Sheltie, but I'll add that I've never met one that wasn't very, very sweet natured.
I think that depends on you. I think it's important to get a breed which suits your lifestyle. Some dogs need more attention to grooming, some need more exercise, some need a lot of room to move around and so forth. Before you get a dog do your research and see what each breed requires from you. Of course all dogs need attention but not every breed is suited to each individual.
