I recently went to "petco" to get shots for my 2 dogs.
we only wanted take the ones that you need take yearly.
the doctor said the dogs need to take 3 shots yearly- DHP-Parvo, Corona, Bordetella.
Are all 3 of those really important to take every year?
one of my family says you only need to take 1 shot, but im not sure.

I know there is a 5-in-1 shot. It has five different vaccines in just one shot and I think it includes all those three shots, plus two others. Could that be what your family member was talking about?

Bordetella is usually only given if you plan to board your dog when you go away; some people also give it if they live in condos where there are a lot of dogs

After the first year of vaccines, some people only give the rabies vaccine which is given every 3 years in some places depending on where you live, and some people also still give distemper.

Yeah, rabies is the only one that I KNOW has to be given yearly. I think distemper too, but I'm not too sure on that one. I know if you are planning on boarding your pets that you need to get the bordella shot, Mack just got his because he got neutered and he was being boarded overnight.
