LMFAO! I can't believe the anchorman made the comment "I guess he can get a bone whenever he wants one." :rofl1:

I'm more amazed that dogs don't come in and shoplift on a regular basis, lol.

You know, though, that if that had been a Bully breed the story would have been handled completely differently

"Pit bulls: Prone to THEFT??" :p

You know, none of the people in that video seemed very surprised to see a dog in the store. It didn't look like any of the employees were trying to get him out. Maybe they're okay with dogs in the store . . . as long as they pay for their purchases. :D

The first time we took Max into a local pet store, they had a bin on the bottom shelf (why would a pet store do this is beyond me), and when we looked down, he had a mouthful of treats. We did tell the girl at checkout to add on a few things that weren't in our cart.

I can't tell if that's a regular drug store or is it more like a supermarket?

If it's a supermarket then Boomer wonders why go for the rawhide....go to the back where the real steaks are!!! LOL

LOL that's very funny. It said the manager confronted the dog and said drop it, and when the dog didn't listen he decided not to pursue the matter- smart man, or else the story might not have been in such a positive light.

Surprisingly when I worked at a pet store we had bins on ground level full of freshly butchered bones and pig ears that somehow were rarely stonely by entering dogs. My co-worker used to bring her dog to work and eventually had to restrict her access to one part of the store as she was very crafty about sneaking away, grabbing a bone and finding a quiet part of the store to chow down on it.

I was going to post this story today but you all beat me to it! It is a grocery store/supermarket in a large chain, Smith's, and one I go to when I'm working. He knew just what he wanted and what I like is how he comes in so casual, stops for a brief "Hi" with the kids checking out , strolls to the right isle, gets what he wants then boogies out of there in a hurry:rofl1:
I'm sure no one tryed to stop him as they were all a little shocked, dogs do not go in the grocery strores around here as a rule:D If you notice on the video even the cop is smiling as he watches the security camera clip. I can't imagine watching the news and seeing your dog pulling this stunt:lol-sign:

A highjack : I had EliN's Lab Yogi with me in the car once when I was delivering Rescue flyers for her a PetSmart . I was pinning them up when I saw a flash of yellow .

After a double take , I realized it was Yogi ! Yup , he was headed right for the bones . After that I realized that for a Lab , windows have to left up higher ! You should have seen the look on his face when I said " Yogi!!!" Oh, oh ....nabbed !
