Charley took her to the vet this afternoon.

She has cancer. It's metastasized and is into her lungs. The vet said 2 - 3 months.

Maybe now he will throw the Essiac to her like I've been after him to do. I even bought it and brewed it.

*sniffs* My poor sweet baby . . . *cries*

Fila, she started limping late this winter. She acted like she'd just pulled a muscle. About two weeks ago a lump showed up on the shoulder and I brewed her up some tea and gave him hell when I found out he'd been feeding her Ol' Roy.

He'd been slacking on giving her the Essiac, too. I got after him about that and told him that if something happened to her and he hadn't done that very easy, simple thing to try and help he'd never forgive himself.

Then Tuesday he told me there was swelling and fluid under her armpit and partially down her leg and he realized he was going to have to make a trip to the vet.

I've told him to up the dose of tea to at least 6 oz. per day now (meaning I'm going to be buying it and brewing it twice as much). Good thing I had that money set aside to use for a re-supply and just got it in :(

This is so heartbreaking, I'm so sorry!
