Jess' shedding is getting beyond a joke. I'm suprised she's not bald! It's all year round and you literally strok eher nad have a hand filled with hair. Where ever she lays down the hairs can be seen. She's been banned from my bed because the hairs left behind on the sheet clog up the washing machine.

She's on a good diet and her coat is lovely and shiny, it just won't stay in! Any advice?

She's not on that great of a food or she wouldn't be shedding so much. You might try adding in some Grizzly Salmon oil and see if the added omega vitamins make a difference.

What are you feeding her? And how often do you brush?
What is the condition of her skin?

Her diet can be improved, and/or supplemented with oil(s), raw egg, or supplements like Zoom suggested.

I'll try raw egg and supplements that oyu suggested, thankyou.

She's on Burns and raw meat on Saturdays and Wednesdays, seriously it's the best you can get around here althought it's not great.

Sometimes it may just be the dog. My Zeus eats a good diet, has an amazingly soft, shiny and healthy coat...and sheds like Cousin It. I never knew a dog with such short hair could leave so much of it all over the house. Brings new meaning to the word "FURniture".

I think all you can really do is brush them like mad. For Zeus' short hair, I found that a rubber horse curry brush works awesomely well. I give him a very thorough brushing once a day. While it doesn't eliminate the hair problem, it does cut it back substantially.

I use the furminator brush that gets the under coat and that has been working pretty well. But you have to brush them at least once a day
