I was browsing on other pet forum and amazed with this story of an old saving the neighborhood from world war bomb...
Two nights ago while everyone was sleeping, about 20 neighbors, not near me, but somewhere in our big city were evacuated, and with good reason,
a dear old, ordinary black lab from what I could see, dug up something, that something could have blown the neighborhood off the map.
He dug up a WWII gernade.
The bomb squad of course was called and taken to a secret location. Their report was, "It was live, and so the dog saved the neighborhood.
The dog not only deserves a metal but our police department, perhaps our U.S. soldiers, or our airport, or drug sniffing dog local people ought to take him into their programs.
after all, this ordinary dog had the good sense to sniff something very dangerous out of the ground.
Perhaps however these great citizens ought to keep him as just a pet, cuz who knows if he'll dig up more of potentionally dangerous world war grenades here at home and in our local neighborhoods again too.
horray for this local canine hero
He deserves lots of raw bones, free training, lots of love and great care.
