Does anyone KNOW anything about shamanism. My friend (he acts like a mini Harry Potter  ) Is doing some kind of "healing" on me tomorrow because he "senses" that I'm a mess. 0_o Now I don't believe in this stuff but it's kind of creeping me out. Does ANYONE want to fill me in on this crap. And please tell me it's all a hoax? lmao

Probably nothing overt that you will immediately see, although sometimes, if the practitioner is very attuned you will feel something. Different people have different perceptions, too. I had a couple of sessions with a good friend who is very adept with Reiki and she and I both experienced identical visions and each of us received healing - for lack of a better word - of some painful emotional hurts.

Why are you letting him do that if you don't believe in it?
I initially said yes but I called trying to back out but he "already has it planned". I don't have to be there, it's not like I'm going and letting him do whatever it is he's doing.

Then you need to tell him to NOT do it, that you are not comfortable with it. Tell him that he can't interfere with your free will, and for him to do it without your consent and blessing would be wrong.

And yes, shamanic healing can and does work. But you have to be ready and willing in it.

if you don't believe, you may as well not go. it takes both parties believing it works for anything to get accomplished. no matter how much he believes, it won't do anything for you if you don't.

was he an american indian and had family heritage of healers??? or was he just a regular guy "getting into it" and "trying it out"? just curious if he had the American Indian faith healing shaman heritage or if he is just dabbling in it for fun. :)
