Well, Shakes came down with something.. upset stomach or some nonsense. He has been on meds for almost 2 weeks now (feeling much better) and since he will be turning 6 this year, I got a blood panel done on him. Waited a week for results (vet wanted to consult a exotic specialist) and everything came back clear, though he recommends a blood glucose panel every couple of months just to be sure. So, for a 6 year old ferret Shakes is doing exceptionally well :D

    anywho... onto pictures :D

This was a few days after his doctors appt, last week sometime. He crawled in his carrier (one of his favorite places to nap) and fell asleep...eyes wide open.

Aw, Shakes! <3 Glad to hear his bloodwork came back normal - wish I was having that kind of luck. *sigh* As it is, I'm about ready to kill both of mine (okay, only throttle them) - they've both decided using the litterbox in the cage isn't a necessity anymore and are just crapping where they please. %^(*&%

Shakes will poop once or twice in his box then go where he pleases in his cage.... I put news paper down everywhere so it doesn't make much of a mess. How is Rinnie doing????
