For Jacks Neuter. It's on May 30th. I took the day off of work so I could take him and pick him up.

I am all ready starting to get nervous.

If anyone has any suggestions on post op care, i would greatly appreciate them.

I know that I am not supposed to let him run around and be crazy for a few days, but I was wondering if there was anything else I was missing.

Wow, that's coming up soon! I see you're doing what I did - doing it as fast as posisble before you chicken out and change your mind!

Get a few of those squishy cold packs - is there's any post-op swelling, just sit with him on your bed or the couch and put a cold pack on that area. I did it with Ronin, and it made him feel a lot better.

Keep him calm, give him some extra TLC, and he'll be a happy eunuch. ;)

If I know Jack, he'll heal up pretty quickly. Within a week he should be good as new.

Good luck, and DON'T WORRY... he'll be just fine. And yeah I know you'll worry anyway. I sure did, but luckily it's a minor surgery and I'm sure he'll be fine. :)

I know what she's talking about..I think they can be found at any grocery store. Those ice packs filled with blue mush. Freeze 'em, let 'em sit so they can get a bit squishy but still real cold, and then pop 'em on the balless part :D

Good luck to you and Jacky setter boy!!

SP is right - you can get them at any HyVee or Walmart - they're the ice packs that are filled with blue goo. In a pinch, a plastic bag full of unpopped popcorn kernels or a bag of frozen peas works too.

YUP!!!

That is exactly what I am doing. Plus if i didn't do it on the 30th, he wouldn't be healed to go to the chaz meet up. And then I would have to wait until after, and that wouldn't be until July. That's a long time.
