It's usually very nice during September here in western Washington, sunny, but getting cooler. But this September is uncommonly nice. For weeks it's been summery, low to mid 70's into the 80's. And that's forecast for weeks to come. I don't even remember the last time it's rained. Yippie skippie! It was a long, cool June, so we deserve this. Plus, once winter hits, it undoubtedly will feel long, cloudy, drizzly and just plain yuk. LOL.

Are you having an unusual climate this September? What's it like where you live? I make so many threads about weather. I'm kind of obsessed with it, I guess.:p

It has seemingly turned to fall overnight here. We went straight from a scorching summer into cold nights and chilly days. I sadly accepted it this morning and put on a sweater. =< I was trying to hold out until it was actually OFFICIALLY fall... but it was just too cold this morning. Bummer.

Right now it's 86 and rainy here. We've been having gorgeous mornings and nights, but it starts raining at about ~12 every afternoon!

Our temperatures have been in the low to mid 70s at night and in the mornings, but the mid to high 80s every day. I can't wait for it to cool down even more here.

My niece lives in Ill Beanie. My daughter went to visit just a few weeks ago and said it was nice...not extremely hot, but sort of tropical. I hear a lot about Chicago, since that's where my sil, bil, and nieces live. It does seem to change in a heart beat, doesn't it.

Jessie, that sounds pretty dang hot. Whew! I bet you can't wait till it cools off a bit. It's 79 degrees and sunny right now. And even that is pushing it for me, being a heat wimp.

Earlier, I took Jose` for a walk in the field across the road from me and picked some apples off some abandoned apple trees. We walked around in there and that was it.

Then I went out and dead headed some flowers, picked a bouquet of Zinnias and that's all the work for me until it cools off later. LOL. Gosh....over about 73 or 75 and I get so lethargic. I'd never make it in Florida or most places in this country actually.

More chilly days than warm days, night are very obviously chilly. We usually get snow in October, so I suppose we're right on track, if not a bit warm for the moment.

Today was pretty high 80s, but it's falling into low 70s over the next several days with nights averaging 40s-50s. I just seriously want moisture. This dry air is killing me. My hands are so cracked and ouchy around my nails, and my nose actually bled for the first time in my life today.

It's been pretty chilly in the mornings and evenings. The days aren't too bad but it's been dropping to 30 degrees at night here.

It's pretty much how you describe over here as well Dober. It's been super warm this September (chilly nights though). Usually it gets quite frosty by, like the second week of the month - now it's been practically 17 - 25 degrees Celsius almost everyday. No heavy rain yet (also a big surprise...).

I'm fine with the sunny days - but it's not quite crisp/chill enough just yet for my taste! it's been a long summer - I need some relief.

We had a couple of mornings (early) that were 37...brrrrr. But not lately. It's been unbelievably lovely.

I hate that too, the shorter days. Weah, weah, weah....hard to get use to the idea of winter even though I should be grateful...and I am truthfully, that these winters are a piece of cake compared to north Idaho where I lived before. So, I'm going to shut up about winter. LOL.

Yeah, shorter days are definitely depressing. I like the sunshine and happiness. But I definitely won't miss the sun beaming through my blinds at 5am. That's too much forced happiness. Like anti-happiness.
