Sparks thread got me thinking about Secret Santa. I know times are tough right now for a lot of folks, but is there any interest?

Of course if we have enough something will be organized.

We used to do secret Santa and secret pal on another forum I went to. We would send something for the human and the pets like some treats and a small toy or a collar, something like that. It's a lot of fun, count me in.

you can count me in :)
ETA: Can you explain how it works?
Everyone who wants to do it puts there name in... then one person assigns each person their secret santa... then you buy the persons pets gifts and send them an xmas present.

In the past we have also started a thread where you could say what your dog likes and doesnt like so your secret santa has some ideas.

There is also usually a price point given... like try to spend in the 15 dollar range or something (whatever the amount is!)

I've done it the last couple of years and loved it. Will have to think about it this year though, already signed myself up to one on another forum and don't know if I'll have the cash for both

I'm in!

I think it's simpler to go by family tho. Like last year, I only had Maggie, but the person that I was SS for had 3 dogs. I just bought each dog something small and kept it within the budget. Whereas Maggie got spoiled lol. So if it's a $20 budget, then Maggie and Caesar should get $10 gifts. And if I get someone that has 1 dog, I will buy $20 worth of presents for that dog. :D

Oh yeah, for people with 5 or 10 or 20 dogs, they could always just get a big box of treats or something to share. Or a jumbo package of tennis balls.

but I feel that this would kinda take away from the fun of SS.

I actually have fun picking out presents... but this would be VERY limiting... If you're spending $25 or so on one dog, you can get them something really cool like PJs or you can split it up and buy 2 neat by cheaper things.

If your spending $25 on a family, you are pretty much limited to buying something that's "bulk." And you can't really get anything that would size specific if the family has multi sized dogs.

I know it was mentioned earlier that it was done last year, but can we start another thread for it so people can let everybody else know of any thing the doggy likes/dislikes/can't have, so we have a better idea?
I'd just hate for somebody's dog to get something that they can't/won't use!

ditto.

Plus I dont think people with multiple dogs will really be able to participate if they have to spend 20 plus dollars per dog.
