So you all know that Chazhound experianced a problem last night, and alot of new threads, posts, and PM's have went missing. Summer asked me to make a new thread about the gift you would like for your dog and you. Summer's sister will re-send all the info of your SS to you in the next day or two.

Remember to post your dog's colors, sizes, what they do and don't like, and all that good jazz!!

I'll start.

Kona likes anything squeaky, stuffies, and BALLS... she is a ball freak.
She doesn't do chewy things much anymore... however she likes treats that are soft and little biscuits.

Pink is her color.

Her collar size is medium/large, and clothes are large.

I would really, really like a harness for Miss Kona, as she has never had one.


As for me, I like anything of the Superman and Froggy variety.

Ronan and OC's "colour" is leather *L* Although blue and black are our racing colours so anything nylon or made of fabric (leashes, longe line, etc) are either one or both of those colours. (helps keep me organized when I am traveling with somebody else to races and other dog events. If it's blue and/or black, chances are, it's mine)

Toys - fire hose toys that squeek (or something just as durable that squeeks)!!! They are the only type of squeekie toy that lasts longer than 60 seconds with either dog. If it doesnt squeek Ronan will not have any interest what so ever in the toy. OC will but he will love it 10X more if it squeeks. No cuz toys please, we have one and it's not all that popular here. Stuffies whether or not they squeek are generally a big hit here too but they never last.

Food/Chewies - OC will eat anything! Ronan may or may not nibble at something but I do not give them rawhide. I will give pig's feet, cow hooves, etc No cooked/smoked bones though.

OC's collar size is 19 inches and so is Ronan's. OC's harness size (for x-back sledding harnesses) is 61-70Lbs and Ronan's is 51-60Lbs.

I think that covers the dogs....As for me, I like anything "doggy" especially old dog books (anything prior to 1980). However I am up for any type of good read that has to do with dogs. Examples of the type of books I have enjoyed reading are "DOGS by Ray and Lorna Coppinger", "The Sporting Bull Terrier", "Livestock Protection Dogs", "How To Speak Dog" etc. I also have a high interest in blades (knives, daggers, swords etc) and medieval weaponry.

Dixie's color is pink. Her collar size is 16 inches. I like the adjustable ones for her since she's still growing. She LOVES squeaky toys. And soft treats I can use for training.
Bear's Color is blue. His color size is 17 inches. I like rolled leather collars for him because of his fur. He doesn't really play with toys except tennis balls.

They both like any kind of chew toys or sticks. they don't care about flavors.

I don't really need anything, but I like to do crafts. michaels and ACMoore are 2 stores that no matter what you buy me in there, i love it.

In general, my guys like just about anything. Except greenies ( heard too many bad expereinces with them). Spy loves balls, but preferably something maybe cuz size, because any smaller and I worry. Naughty likes those toys the AKC makes, perferably the squirrell. She chases the real ones, so the stuffed is the next best thing for her haha. Kodak likes about anything with a squeaker, and Pearl likes really pretty much anything. Would love some collars for the girls, the easy snap on kind. Any color works, Spy, Naughty, and Pearl are all a large, Kodak would be a medium. And I'd REALLY love to have a harness, a large for Spider *copies Laura's idea* haha Spy's around 87ish lbs. Any bone is ok, except anything smoked. Pearl had a bad spout with a smoked bone from the dog show, so no smoked things for her lol

You dont have to get me anything, but I do love anything Rottweiler related! lol

Cider hates rawhide, and rubber toys. Loves blankets, and stufties. Rarely wears a collar owns about 4 though. Neck size 13-14". 15.75" tall, 24 pounds.

Smudge likes almost anything. He's excited about life. Can't wear a collar due to conformation. 14ish" tall, 16 pounds (so far).

I like american cocker stuff, dog stuff, stuff with paw prints on it. etc.

Both dogs like squeekies, durable is best, no rawhides or greenies. Balls are always fun. Sawyer is 50 lbs and wears a medium collar, Virgo is 76 and wears a med-large. Her color is red...Sawyer is too hairy for much to show, though he could use a new leash...blue or a neat pattern maybe?

Myself, anything Aussie, old-timey dog stuff, coffee and dark chocolate. And I'm also one of those rare people who actually like to get socks as presents.

*warm, thick blanket for winter

*Pink large puppy kong

*17" latex rubber chicken for dogs

*any kind of rubber food dispensing toy that I can shove food into and possibly freeze as well.


Her dislikes:
*No treats with wheat or barley because she is allergic

*No stuffies as she'll DESTROY them

*No rawhide

*No smoked or cooked bones that you can buy at Petco

I think that's it.

Grammy and Ollie aren't picky ! Don't need collars etc or raw hides .

Beezer and Belle can eat anything and they like to eat anything lol they are not picky.... same with toys.... anything. They are large dogs so larger sized toys would be best. Belle wears Purple and Beezer wears Red... their harnesses are size medium but I think their collars are large.

As for us peoples.... lol.... I collect cows or cow print anything. Anything to do with Hockey. or scented Candles.

My dogs generally like any durable toy or bone. NO rawhides though! They LOVE stuff that squeeks but it has to be like those hard rubber or fire hose toys. plastic squeeks and stuffed toys last a whole 5 seconds here.

My male Husky wears a 22" collar.

My female wears a 18" collar.

They both like leather

I like anything with Siberian Huskies on it

Casey loves anything edible and tug type toys. She isn't 'into' squeakies.

I measured her neck and it was around 45cm, so I'm sure her collar size would be large.

As for me, well I like anything to do with horses and dogs .

Sadie, Dennis and Emilio all really like squeaky toys , Tennis balls ,The rope toys are great too. No clothes for Sadie . But the chis like shirts , sm. for me I collect ornaments, Not real expensive ones , just ones that I find pretty. An ornament would be nice because it would be a memory for years to come.

Saffie loves pluche toys
Boy is obsessed with all kind of toys, but balls are his favourite kind.

My dogs will eat anything.

I love nice dog collars, especially with a print.
Boys neck is 43 cm. Saffie's neck is 32 cm.
I don't like pink, but every other colour is okay.

I'm joining in on the secret santa even though I don't yet have my puppy. I haven't decided on a male or female so anything that's unisex in color. I still need to stock up on puppy supplies such as play toys, food and water dishes, grooming supplies, crate bedding for a medium size crate, etc.

As far as for myself. I love horses so anything horse related or agility related really catch my interest. Also. I'm getting a Nova Scotia Duck Tolling retreiver so anything related to the breed in any way as well.

I should edit for my boys, 19 inches is the size of their neck so when I get a collar, I usually get 21 inches That way, there is room to adjust depending on what coat they are in (OC's neck changes a whole inch when he is in his winter coat)

Max is really hard, since he has no interest in toys. However he may enjoy Kongs, we've never tried one before. As for collars, I'd probably say he's a large, since his thick fur adds so much width.

He's a treat freak, and will pretty much each just about anything. However rawhide doesn't settle well with his stomach, so no rawhide please.

As for me, I'm not picky. I'm a horse freak, and anything dog or Keeshond related is fine too

Buster's colour is dark green or red.
He likes treats and has never had a kong.
He also LOVES tug toys but isn't a fan of squeaky things and mac will take over anything that bounces.

He is a medium sized dog and when buying things I mainly look for things that would fit a BC as he has a much thinner face than an ACD but is only about as tall as one.

A hati would be good for him as I've been meaning to buy one and see if it assists training, or a harness.
He also likes to chew, he isn't mad on chasing toys but loves to sit down and chew and chew and chew.

I love anything dog, fish, cat or horse related.

I don't know who i have yet either *cries* lol
