I was doing an online search for pups online and I found this family tree if one where to look closely on the dams blood line you can see that there is inbreeding. The dog is Briarwood's Storms a Brewing. He's being mated with two dams then the offspring from both dams are being mated. What does this mean? here is the link the dogs I'm talking about are at the bottom right corner. http://www.dreamscapekennel.com/Eby/html

You'd have to ask the breeder what their purpose is for the line breeding. It's not always a bad thing, but the breeder should be able to exactly why this is being done and why it's the best way to go to achieve their breeding goals.

But isn't there health risk involved with this? I noticed with some of the great grandparents where inbred by briarwood as well.

If there was no inbreeding then you would not have a purebred animal. All pure bred dogs/cats have some amount of inbreeding. Line/inbreeding is the way a breeder maintains type and moves forward in a breeding program to achieve "perfection".
Inbreeding/linebreeding does not "make" problems, it is not dangerous, it is not wrong.

I learned in biology that inbreeding was a good way to secure a specific allel in a gene but it was at a cost. So can someone else elaborate on this for me.

either way, this isn't a responsible breeder at all.
forget how inbred they are - look at their structure. what do they DO besides show them in the crappy kennel clubs (the NKC?????) and breed multiple litters each year? what have those dogs done to merit being bed?

To me having the same sire fathering the parents is too close .... With all the Storm names , who knows how many siblings from the same litter are involved .
