So many times I have been told that I never look happy. My teacher told me I should smile more and my friends often say I look like I'm angry or mad or scowling. It frustrates me because I'm not. I'm generally a happy person but I guess it looks like I'm frowning or something. Does anyone else have this problem? I'm going to start seeming like the kid who is depressed or with anger issues.

I have that problem. And it shows how much people really judge you by looks alone.

I could be the happiest person in the world and still look mad. I get asked 'what's the problem?' a lot by people who kind of know me but haven't known me that long.

My friends and family don't even ask any more, they know it's just normal. But it seems to be a huge disadvantage when meeting new people.

citrus, I often wonder if it is a teenage thing. I find myself asking my daughter if she's mad because she tends to wear a scowl quite often. She always assures me that she's not mad at all.

It could be, I don't remember if it used to happen to me when I was younger, I just know it bothers me a lot.
I'm glad I'm not the only one though. Well I mean I feel bad that other people have to deal with it as well but I know how you feel.

I do it too, I frown a lot lol but I don't mean too. Just because I'm not smiling doesn't mean I'm not happy is all I tell people.
