I love sad movies. Like, with a passion. So, what are some scenes that make you cry every time?

For me, it's the end of The Plague Dogs. It's a very powerful movie about two dogs who escape from an animal testing lab, and are hunted down due to (false) fears of them carrying the bubonic plague. It ends, well...I'll let you see for yourself.

Watch from 2:06 to the end.

The very ending of Titanic also makes me cry. Which is sort of strange, because Jack's death does nothing for me :p

What are some of yours?

Oh, I have so many, both in TV shows and movies.

In Uptown Girls, at the end, when Molly is watching Ray's final recital, and all the girls are dancing with the guitars, proving that Neal bought the guitar collection.

In Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, after Sirius died, for obvious reasons.

In Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part One, when Harry and Hermione were dancing in the tent after Ron left. Breaks my heart every time I watch it, and I'm not quite sure why.

In Homeward Bound, when Shadow is stuck in the hole and tells Sassy and Chance to go on without them. I've watched this movie so many times that I start tearing up about five minutes before he falls in, so by the time it actually happens, I'm absolutely balling.

In The Time Traveler's Wife, at the end, when Henry comes back to see Clare in the meadow. I cry every time. I dislike that they deviated so much from the book at the end, but I like the movie ending better - they're both incredibly sad, though.

In NCIS, there were two episodes that stick out for me as being unbelievably sad. In Call of Silence (season two), when Kate is dancing with Ernie Yost, and in Truth or Consequences (season seven), the first time Tony and Ziva see each other in Somalia, and she can't believe that he cared enough to come after her.

In CSI, there were a couple episdoes as well. In Gum Drops, when Nick finds the little girl at the end, and you think she's going to be dead, but she's really alive. And then the one (I'm blanking on the episode title) when Sara leaves Las Vegas, and you hear Grissom reading the note she left for him as you see her leaving in a cab.

In Law & Order: SVU, in Loss, when Alex gets shot and enters Witness Protection, and meets Elliot and Olivia in a parking lot somewhere to tell them. And the first episode of season 13, Scorched Earth, at the end, when Cragen tells Olivia that Elliot left (without telling her), and she goes into the interrogation room and cries.

I'm sure there are more, but those ones are coming to mind right now. I watch a lot more television than movies...

I'm often drawn to "sad" movies too. They are always the most powerful though which is why I love them!

Forrest Gump - when he discovers he has a son, and when Jenny dies. *tears*

Marley & Me - I always vow to NEVER watch this movie again. Then I always catch it when it's on TV and ALWAYS watch it and ALWAYS cry. lol.

I Am Legend - the GSD in the movie, omg, makes me cry every time.

Most animal movies tend to make me cry anyways. I also cry when Shadow is stuck in Homeward Bound. So sad.

The Green Mile - when they put John Coffey to death.

Castaway - WILSON! 'Nuff said.

I forgot Hachi: A Dog's Tale.... I sat there just bawling my eyes out one night when I watched that all by myself.

Ladder 49 made me cry terribly too.

In Buffy, there's two that get me everytime. The season finale of S2, where Buffy kills Angel and the S5 finale where she dies. I'm fine until I see Spike lose it, then I'm gone.

Doctor Who: "Doomsday", where Rose gets stuck in Pete's World. I'm not one of those "Doctor + Rose 4Evah" shippers, but both Billie Piper and David Tennant just kill me with their expressions. Also, "Journey's End" where the Doctor takes away Donna's memories.

Definitely a bunch, but one gets singled out...it doesn't just make me cry, it literally takes my breath away...every time.

In Crash...when the little girl runs in front of the bullet aimed for her dad...omg. I don't know why, I just can't breathe for like 5 minutes after.

Um. When Mufasa dies in the Lion King and Simba goes up to him and tries waking him up. I wish I were joking. :rofl1:

I also get teary eyed every time someone dies in Harry Potter.

And of course Marley & Me.

Most Disney movies at some point make me bawl! Beauty and the Beast especially, and The Lion King. OMG!

Dumbo- pretty much anytime they make fun of him, but definatly when his mom is rocking him to the song "Baby mine"

The Notebook- 'nuff said

Armagedon- When she is talking to him on the video "Dont go Daddy...", to the end

Gosh, there are too many to list!

OMG. And the end... when they aren't sure if Shadow is coming... I'm tearing up right now.

I love the scene in Enchanted when they are dancing and he starts to sing.

I also love Serendipity, when the glove falls on his face and he gets up and he sees her... and a tear rolls down his face... ughhhhhhh

Yeah I cry when Mufasa dies too. D= And I was in pieces at the beginning of Up! for sure. Also in Lilo & Stitch, when Stitch takes the book and goes into the forest and says "I'm lost!" and is waiting for his family... and Nani sings "aloha oe" to Lilo and the flowers drift away in the wind, and... ughhlhlhlhlhlh.

Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants is the first movie that ever made me cry so hard I had to get a tissue box. When Carmen yells at her dad on the phone, and then Bailey dies, I just... I can't handle it. All of the different emotions involved.

I actually cry a lot, LOL. I cry more now that I'm older.

Scenes involving children being hurt and/or neglected take me to the edge.

Uh oh. I'm like the ultimate crier at movies.

The Plague Dogs made me cry, too! Really incredible movie. Whatever I was expecting with an animated movie about dogs, it wasn't that.

In Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, after Sirius died, for obvious reasons.
This.
In Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part One, when Harry and Hermione were dancing in the tent after Ron left. Breaks my heart every time I watch it, and I'm not quite sure why.
And this. I cry when they dance, too. Partly because I think it's such a beautiful scene.
In Homeward Bound, when Shadow is stuck in the hole and tells Sassy and Chance to go on without them. I've watched this movie so many times that I start tearing up about five minutes before he falls in, so by the time it actually happens, I'm absolutely balling.

OMG that whole movie makes me cry. Just love. <3
Marley & Me - I always vow to NEVER watch this movie again. Then I always catch it when it's on TV and ALWAYS watch it and ALWAYS cry. lol.
YESSS. *sniffles*
I forgot Hachi: A Dog's Tale.... I sat there just bawling my eyes out one night when I watched that all by myself.
Again, this. That movie is so beautiful and so heart-wrenching.

I'm another who The Lion King makes cry. Since I was a little girl, and still now.

Sophie's Choice. That whole movie, there's just no explaining unless you've seen it. Of course the choice rips my heart out, but also when he calls her by her number.

Camille. Yes, it makes me cry. STFU. :p

Bambi. Yes.

Seven Pounds. The title of the movie gave a lot of the plot away, and even though I guessed throughout the movie, when I realized what he was doing. . .

Titanic.

My Sister's Keeper. (Though I despise Cameron Diaz.)

Philadelphia.

Crash.

Terms of Endearment.

Life is Beautiful.

I could go on forever and you can bet I'll be back with more.

OMG, how did I forget? One of my all time fave movies and yes that scene gets me too.

I forgot Philadelphia, too. Tom Hanks is like my all time favorite actor.

Yup, My Sister's Keeper too. I cried in the book too, though for a totally different reason.

300, when the hunchback gives them up to Xerxes.

Watchmen, at the end with Rorschach...

V for Vendetta, when everyone takes their masks off at the end.

Bones, in that episode about the coin collector in the bunker.

Homeward Bound, when Shadow comes up the hill at the end.

I'm sure there's others, they're just not coming to mind right now.

Ever watch Grave of the Fireflies?... yeah.... :*( There's me... sobbing like a little girl.
Oh man, I had to follow that up with a heavy dose of Totoro and Finding Nemo.

Zulu makes me cry every time. That part where they start singing Men of Harlech? yeah...

Oh Em Gee. I can NEVER watch that movie. Just that short clip was enough to make me sad for days. Good lord.

Also this. Steven and I both bawled our eyes out at the end. It's one of those movies you can only watch once, because it makes you seriously depressed. Jeez

Oh that movie broke my heart. I'm not much of an anime fan but I have a couple of friends obsessed with it so I decided to watch some movies this year and see what the big deal was. Kept seeing that one on "best of" lists so I watched it, and man... It really rips you apart.

Only only exposure to anime before that was "Wolf's Rain", many episodes of which also made me shed tears ♥

In Buffy, there's two that get me everytime. The season finale of S2, where Buffy kills Angel and the S5 finale where she dies. I'm fine until I see Spike lose it, then I'm gone.
Spike! ♥♥ I always got weepy when Buffy returned in the premiere afterward and he saw her at the stairs of her house and that split second he realizes it isn't the Buffybot. I was a huge Spuffy though, and loved most of S6/S7 despite myself lol.

I'd have a hell of a list if I tried to remember all the times I've cried at shows. ER, Six Feet Under, Lost, Farscape, X-Files, Glee, Grey's Anatomy (first 3-4 seasons), Cold Case... I have varied taste but those and many more have had episodes/scenes that have made me lose it.

I cry at movies all the time.

The scene that gets me sobbing the hardest is the "Married Life" montage in "Up!"

I really should not have looked that up on youtube...crying so hard now. :(
Oh God, yes!! I went into that movie completely unprepared for hardcore sobs in the first 20 minutes.

Armageddon, Titanic, Time Traveler's Wife, Moulin Rouge. Those all let me be super girly and mushy. MR is one of my favorite movies ever, just watched it for the 100th time or so free On Demand this week and of course cried and cried at the end. I love tragic romances.

Yes! to all the dog movies. Homeward Bound was probably the first live action animal film I watched, must've been around 6-7. Clung to my mother and cried my eyes out, then begged and begged for a golden retriever. Saved my allowance for two years and got my puppy shortly after my 9th birthday. Named him Shadow. He was my constant growing up.

Had to say goodbye to him in 2009. The movie continues to destroy me on every rewatch. The music when Shadow limps over the hill and wags his tail? I'm gone.

Hachi, Marley - both aren't the best movies overall but the endings cause massive amounts of tears. Eight Below is another one that gets me, as a husky fan. Fluke!! Probably my second favorite (after Homeward Bound), because I've ALWAYS wanted to be reincarnated as a dog lol. The scene towards the end in the cemetery, gah. (For anyone not familiar, the dog is the dead dad/husband of the kid and lady.) "Forever."

I'm gonna have to look up The Plague Dogs. Never heard of it! Love a good cry.

There's many more. Sometimes I just go on youtube and watch sad commercials and bawl over THOSE rofl. The Pedigree adoption drive ads? Yeah... I'm easy.

I have not ever cried when watching a movie. The only book that's made me cry was Cowboy and Wills.

Moulin Rouge! I love love love that movie. I can't believe I forgot about it. Since I saw that movie the first time, Elton John's "Your Song" (which already was incredibly beautiful to me) makes me cry.

It's sad, but it's also. . .dark. I don't know how else to explain it.
