The Screaming Woman--can't tell you much about it except that I was about nine years old, and I watched this movie--had to sleep with the closet light on for months afterwards!!--LOL
The Exorcist was another one that took hold of me--:yikes:

I'll have to say "The Ring". So many people thought that was such a lame movie, but it scared the bejesus out of me. It was that creepy little girl that did it. I literally slept with my light on for years after watching that. Still today, everytime a TV goes fuzzy I get scared. Also, "The Exorcism of Emily Rose" scared me to death. For anyone that's seen that movie, any time I wake up at 3:00 am I have to wake my husband up and turn all the lights on. He thinks I'm ridiculous, but I think I just have a good imagination!

Yeah, The Ring is one of the scariest movies! My fiancee thinks I'm crazy, but I was scared for a week after I saw it, lol!

First places is Invasion of the Body Snatchers. The first remake of it. Saw it in the theater at 4 years old.

Second place Poltergiest. Had some decent nightmares from that movie, saw it when I was 8.

The man who became my stepdad would take us to these movies rather than get a babysitter for my brother and me. Saw Star Wars, Connan the Barbarian, ET, and Beast Master in the theater thanks to him.

The Ring. After watching it, I walked into my dorm room, saw my message light was blinking and walked right back out of my room. I literally begged someone to come up with me...they refused so I had a very tense couple of seconds where I tried to erase the message before I could hear what it said. And then I moved a chair in front of my closet door where the TV was.

And Arachnaphobia. Self-explanatory. Couldn't reach under a lamp shade without first looking for years. I still hestitate sometimes and I watched the movie when I was 11.

Yes, I am a wuss in this respect. There is a reason I refuse to watch scary movies these days.

The Exorcist creeped me out and I won't watch it again, but it wasn't the scariest thing I've ever seen. I picked apart TCM too much to be scared.

All the SAW movies were very disturbing and gross, but also kind of thought provoking. Hostel was also disturbing and gross, but I though it was great how the good guy actually got out in the end.

not a lot scares me anymoe. I used to crap mysef at the drop of a hat, but now nothign worries me. I've found now that most new "scary" movies are just gross, but they're pretty decent sometimes. LIke SAW and Hostel, just creeped out that someone actually thought up the story line.

Scariet movie... The Decent. I got home from the movies and stole mac and buster from my sisters room because i was scared. lol

Gore doesn't scare me..it repulses me. True scares and horor don't even have to show a drop of blood or a single mutilation, IMO. IMO horror has gone very far downhill. Everyone just trying to find new ways to remove body parts.

Watch the black and white movie adaptation of Shirley Jackson's HIll House book...THAT is a terrifying movie.

The part when they cannot find the missing member of their party....and they look down a hall at a door previously locked...and it's standing open and black? O.....M....G I have goosebumps just thiking about it.

And the holding hands in the dark...when you think it's a friend but it was someTHING else entirely...yeah...

Stephen Kings.. IT! :yikes:

I was terrified of clowns beforehand, after that film I needed therapy... Man, didn't dare sleep for 8 days.. Thought I was having a nervous breakdown.

When I was... grade 3 so whatever age that was... my friends and I watched Stephen King's Graveyard Night Shift... holy h311 was I scared! I was awake all night.

Also watched Candyman but that didn't scare me as much... had probably had all the frights scared out of me by graveyard night shift.
