If you google it...second thing that pops up is it won't turn on...and thats exactly whats happening to mines!
The shutter lens are fully extended, the screen is black, but you can see the memory card pictures on it, the blue power light turns on and makes a ding only to turn off, and when you try to turn it on a sizzling noise comes from the shutter lens.

Is there any hope for the camera? Anyway I can try and fix it? Hope the warrenty can be found
