Her eyes are having a more than usual gunk (as I descibe it). Every morning I'll wipe her eyes with a warm washcloth. This is definately more than usual and she's very sleepy. Not lethargic (sp?) but just hummm drum. She's been eating and drinking as usual. Do you think it warrants a vet visit or let it take its course? Is there anything I can comfort her with? He ears feel hot a little; but she has so much hair at this time of year, I don't know if that's normal?

How do her ears smell? If it's a little funky, I'd see a vet. Could be an ear infection making her feel generally crappy.
Also, are the eyes red at all? is the discharge coloured? yellow or green or (god forbid) any blood means a vet trip also.

Strange ... Roy is exhibiting some of those eaxct signs :
1. Sleepy
2. Hot ears
If I touch his ears ... he doesn't react .... I think an ear infection causes some pain or at least discomfort.

Avenlee, What breed is she ?

Sadie is a 3 yr old cocker spaniel. She's had surgery on her eyes and just lately they seem to be worse. I'm thinking its just cold. If she's not better or acting herself tomorrow, I'll definately call our vet.

I always have to watch out for Sadie's ears. She is a Cocker and with that comes an understanding, :rolleyes Sadie's ears smell like popcorn as well as her paws lol I have an ear flush fluid I use with her.
