oh yes the wedding ring .. AKA "the ball and change" the "Omg what did i do"... etc... my hubby and i have been married for over 6 years, we look at the ring as more of a "materialist kind of thing, kinda like proof of ownership if you will. IMO, the ring along with the piece of paper is only for legal reasons like Grammy said back in the day there was really no reason for to exchange rings, you just knew you were in love, LOVE as no real moral ties, it is in your heart your soul, you mind, love is a feeling and a price CAN not be put on it, no matter how much or how little you pay, it is what is in your heart, men and women these days do not wear wedding rings for numbers of reasons, ( already listed by a few members) but, it is what is in your heart that matters most. yes, to some the ring may be a symbol of your love, but, it goes deeper than that, it is the time when you were really sick and needed a cold medicine in the middle of a freezing night and he got dressed and got it for you. it is the time you got stuck in the middle of the BFE ( you all know what i am talking about) and he came to your rescue. its things like this that make a marriage a REAL marriage, you know in your heart he loves you and you love him, so, why question him not wearing it, trust me, LOVE lasts A whole hek of a lot longer than that ring of his.
but, just IMO.
