How many of these surgery's has the vet performed so far?. Is their any specialists that you have consulted with in your area? Have you gone for a second opinion that specializes in orthopedic surgery's?
I never asked how many was performed, there's 2 vets that perform surgery at the vet hospital (and 3 others that work at 2 different clinics) but the vet we just used works part-time at this hospital and part-time at another hospital 2 cities away doing surgeries the majority of the time so I would be assuming he's well versed but I could be wrong.
We go to this vet hospital as it's affordable for us, otherwise we were told we were looking to pay upwards of $2,300 plus after care per leg, while it's $1,700 plus aftercare at this hospital. It's a great deal of money which is why we are having to look over our options very, very carefully.

DanL - those are the questions we're asking ourselves currently, because she's such an active/family pup that to be forced to be crated and kept down for 2 months would make her absolutely miserable and if it doesn't work out well.. then we'd have just put her through all of that for nothing. :(
