My kitty, Claude, passed away today. He was not handling the move well and was getting over a bladder infection. Without a necropsy, the vet's best guess was that his heart just gave out from all of it. He seemed to be doing a little better at lunchtime today. He rubbed against me and purred for me for the first time in days. When I got back home, he was gone.
He was my baby boy. I bottle raised him from a 2 day old kitten. He was never a very healthy cat, probably due to not having a mama. He was the sweetest thing to those he knew well. He'd drape himself over your lap and just purr. His purr was so loud it almost didn't seem real. I'm going to miss my boy. This has been a rough fall for my household. At least Priss will be there to show him around heaven. He hated being alone and in a new place. She's probably got all the good sunning spots staked out and he'll love them all.
