Runaway Dogs.....

Were coming home on a 6 lane highway and there was a greyhound in the middle of the road. Luckily, everyone stopped for it and the cops helped out too. I'm pretty sure the owner got the dog back. He got lucky.

Also another dog showed up at our house today. We put it on a leash and gave it back to it's proper owners after reading the tags.

Just thought I'd share that.

Our neighbor, Herbie, takes his Lab mix, Chester, to work with him. He's working on a construction site building houses and Chester just loves going and visiting all the guys. The other day Chester wasn't there when Herbie called him to the truck. One man told Herbie that someone took Chester. You can imagine how poor Herbie felt. He was just broken hearted when he told me about it. I told him I'd call the animal control officer in Jefferson County since I knew him. It turned out that Chester had wandered off to play with three Malamutes who belong to a really nice family who do foster and rescue work . . . They had Chester and had contacted animal control to tell them to send whoever owned Chester to them . . . Happy ending on this end too!
