:yikes: I do not.....and I resemble that remark :p

You had better look around. Notice that " THEY" have all gathered here. Me thinks they can not take it that "THEY" are not the center of the universe right now lol
Who is this "they" you speak of....??

The Expanding Universe
By Gary Felder

In 1929 an astronomer named Edwin Hubble announced a remarkable observation that changed our view of the world more than almost any other single discovery made this century. In every direction he looked, every galaxy in the sky was moving away from us. The nearby ones were moving relatively slowly, but the farther away a galaxy was the faster it was heading out. What can account for our great unpopularity? Is our galaxy somehow different from all others?

It turns out that there is another, arguably simpler explanation that is well supported by many other observations. It is that the entire universe itself is expanding! As I will explain below, this expansion means not only that we should see every other galaxy moving away from us, but that observers in another galaxy should see exactly the same thing. In a uniform expanding universe, every observer sees herself at the center of the expansion, with everything else moving outwards from her.

I was thinking more along the lines of a parallel universe. God knows, I know people who live in one. Some of them are in charge of the world.

Hmmmmmmm, in re-reading the post on expanding universe, I sense a bit of existentialism there. I mean, an observer regarding himself...oops I mean "her"self as the center of the universe? Of course I imagine he was defining "observer" as a galaxy, but if I were that guy I wouldn't count on anybody understanding exactly what the H he meant. I would give him a C.

I thought it was perfectly acceptable to live in an alternate reality. I do. I have great fun here to.
Living in your own Universe or alternative reality is a fine place to be . . . until you start tyrannically imposing it on the rest of us! There's the difference . . . you're perfectly happy to invite the rest of us to come play in your world, but you aren't MAKING us live there by force of arms or other coersion.

We call them "experts" these days...and if enough people follow them, we call them "leaders".
