Rolling on necks

My boyfriend Daschund does this thing that is....cute....but BIZARRE.

She does it when she wants to get up and we're still in bed. If she sleeps in the bed all night with us, she'll come over, lie across one of our necks like a daschund scarf, and start rolling. Sometimes she'll make her way onto my face and lick me, but she doesn't do that to him.

If his parents are home, she sleeps in their room, but then will come into his room in the morning and do it. Anyone else ever experience this? It's really weird.

maybe she's just trying to show you that she approves of you, and is trying to give you some early morning love. lol

Both of my mother's dachshunds do that. Do it mostly when they are getting attention or want attention and they usually just put their necks across our necks and lay there.

Raja used to drape herself across my neck in the mornings. Thankfully, for my sake, she started draping herself over my chest instead. She's much too big now to be laying on my neck. She never rolled, though. That is kinda crazy.
