My dad took Rocky out today and when he came back inside, he saw Rocky make his way to my room. I remember seeing Rocky come over into my room - I then closed the door because I didn't want him jumping on me and wanted some privacy for that moment.

My dad said he had gone to the bathroom since then and even pet Rocky, he was lying down next to my door. I come out and I ask my dad, "where's Rocky?" and he looks at me and says "I thought he was next to your door" and I didn't see him there and I looked all over the house, he wasn't there.

I rang the door bell numerous times, no answer from him... he always answers the door bell. I go outside and scream his name. Go around the block. Nothing.

My dad and I take a drive around the subdivision. Nothing.

What's happened to my little guy?? :(

It's all so weird... he was INSIDE.

ohoh..you better let us know soon for now i am worried. I hope you find him like i did MAry last week. She got herself locked in the bathroom. What she was doing in there i have no idea, i drove around in the car calling, she never even whimpered, just sat there in the dark. Waiting to here and hoping that all will be fine.

His ID tags had fallen off and I hadn't gotten a chance to replace them. No tattoo and no chip...

I thought I heard barks and my dad and I went around the whole subdivision again. I don't know what's happening... how did he get OUT? If he was out.

We found him! Oh man... scared the bejeesus outta me.

We went so many times all over the subdivision. Then I went outside... my dad going with me, and he was trotting across the road.

I called his name and he stopped in his tracks and I went mid-way to the road and practically catapulted himself at me. Thank God.

He had a little adventure apparently - he was really wet and muddy.

He's here. Safe and sound. And a pesky little brat. :)

Only though, that disturbs me is, how in the hell did he get out?

Im glad you found him :D

Adrienne's always trying to escape. The minute the doorbell rings or we open the door to go out she's right there tyring to worm her way in between our legs. Crazy dog :p

Oh, Gosh, my heart stopped when I saw this thread! But I'm glad of the outcome! That is SOOO WEIRD that he just disappeared like that from INSIDE the house! Was there a door he could push open to let himself out? Guess HE showed YOU... shutting the door on him like that!

WHEW!!!!!! I saw this and got soooooo worried!!! he MUST have opened the door. Ham slipped right out of his collar last week, and took off. I was beside myself! he was completely out of sight, but as I started walking up the road..he suddenly was running across the field. guess they like to run and check things out once in a while..on their own...bad doggies..BAD. LOL I'm soooooooo extremely happy Rocky is home and just fine. :)

Glad you found Rocky, how scary! Dixie is always the one wanting to shoot out the door, but we always know right where she goes...

Wow I got worried there. Glad you found him! But yeah it's really weird, are you sure one door wasn't totally closed? Maybe he learned how to open the door if it isn't locked?

When he was a puppy he learned how to open doors, I saw him do it once.

But it's psychological routine for my dad and I to always lock the doors as we come in and plus, the door was closed when I came out to look for him. Secret passage maybe, lol?

Certainly. My eye is always on him now - even if I'm working on a big research paper like I was. So weird though...
