My friend's husky mix, Tosha, got loose Tuesday and was shot in the chest. Her only crime was walking down the street. She was found by the humane society, still alive but suffering, so she was brought to the vet and put to sleep. My friend has been looking for her for a long time, and just found this out when she checked the pound for her. Tosha was a beautiful, sweet dog who would never hurt a fly. Apparently, the man shot her because she looked like a wolf. They will be going to court, because she had a collar on and it was apparent she was somebody's dog at the time of the shooting. My friend and her family, including her two smaller dogs that adored their larger friend, are traumatized. Please keep them in your thoughts and hope they sue the pants off this man. RIP Tosha. You were rescued off death row from an early grave, provided a year of nothing but love, but your life was cut short anyway. This is not what you deserved.
