Well.. lets see.. here are the ribbons Riot has in his "drawer" at the moment..

First I'll explain Conformation to everyone who doesn't fully understand it as far as the "winning" system goes.
You start out in your dogs age group also divided into the sex of the dog..
6-9 months
9-12months or
12-18 months
Then any dog that is older then 18 months goes into the "open" catagory or "Canadian bred" etc.
Then, those winners go into the "Open" class that can also be filled with Specials(dogs that are finished their Ch title).
You compete in that class for the Best Male and Best Female.
Then you compete for the "Best of Breed", "Best of Winners" and "Best of Opposite Sex".
ONLY the Best of Breed will move on to the next ring.

The Best of Breeds then compete against each other for the Best of Group. All dog breeds are divided into groups - herding, sporting, working etc etc.
Then, which ever dog wins from group will go on to compete in the Best of Show Ring, which is basically All of the 7 Group winners competing against each other.
There is also a "Puppy" ring that competes as well with the same idea as well.
So.. here are his accomplishments.

Riot only needs 4 more points to obtain his Can. Ch title. We are hoping to get them within his next two shows.

Riot also has an upcoming Obedience competition (his first EVER) in March!! I'm SOO excited!!

Riot needs 4 more points for his Can Ch title :)

Yes, the Rally titles do go into his name, but NOT his registered name. i have to compete in CKC sanctioned RallyO events and the CKC JUST recently accepted Rally Obedience as a type of titlable competition for the registered purebred.
So.. Riot is back to RallyO Novice in the CKC. The juding is different in it and the courses are slightly different as well, but I think Riot can handle it NO problem :)
He has his first trial for that the same weekend as his Obedience trial is!

Congratulations on everything you've accomplished so far with Riot! He really is coming along isn't he? Just 4 more points to go- I'd be giddy with excitement!

And it's great to see that you're adding titles on both ends of his name. :D

Keep us posted on how he does...AAAAAND keep posting photos of him. He's a looker!

Belgians were bred to be a multi purpose dog and have kept that way ever since. I dont see belgians ever loosing that either.. Herding breeds just seem to be like that...

Riot will definately be getting his Obedience titles as well as Tracking, Herding Instinct Certificate, RallyO, as well as Agility.

Hes definately not just a pretty face ;)

hehe Thanks ;)
