Well.. on Saturday - we arrived in the morning to try and leave my stuff at the hotel - they told me that all the rooms were booked solid and my room wasn't ready yet for me..
I had showed up hair undone, make up not on and in my "comfy" clothes assuming I'd have a room to change in and a bathroom to do my hair and such.. NO SUCH LUCK!
So.. I change in my van and do everythign in my van.. lol i'm glad I didn't have a car that day...
Anyways, I arrive an hour prior to ring time to get Riot used to the show grounds.. I look around outside and there are no rings set up.. I think.. ok.. I know I'm at the show grounds b/c there are other dogs running around..
Then I see this semi-small building.. I bring Riot in with me and the show is set inside there! lol There were only TWO rings set up!!
I had to practiclly hold Riots coller b/c the building was sooo packed it was unreal.. so we finally get a corner to ourselves.. Riot gets used to the noises, we do some practicing..
Finally the ring opens up for practice time b/t groups.. I bring Riot in to do some praticing..
Then a Belgian Puppy named Deisel comes into the ring - Riot hates this puppy for some reason and has a HUGE growl fest from the OTHER SIDE of the ring at him.. I'm thinking YAY what a great start lol
I grab him.. let him know its inappropriate and carry on trying to distract him best as possible. Finally his little fits are over and hes "ring ready".
Anyways.. Ring time ; We go in to the 12-18 month age ring..
Riot walks out with a 1st!!
We stay in the ring for Best Male now..
Riot walks out with a Winners Male!!
We stay in for Best of Breed..
RIot walks out with a BEST OF BREED!!
RIOT GOT HIS FIRST 2POINTS TOWARDS HIS CH TITLE!!!!
I'm jumping up and down excited.. Riot is bouncing off the walls b/c he did good lol
Anyways, we go into Group..
There is this lady (not naming names) that has a Bouvier that likes to RUN UP RIOTS bum.. at one point she ran her dog INTO him to try and mess him up..
Anyways low and behold she places in group - no clue WHY..
But other then that, Riot was a very good boy and we went back to the hotel to finally get our room and relax! lol
I got a picture with the judge as well and Riot is just stunning in it!
Today Riot was a good boy, but wasn't as "showy" as yesterday..
We go into the 12-18 month old ring
Riot walks out with a 2nd and a Reserve Male.
So all in all it was a fairly good weekend!
