Riots been Blessed ie - "Saved"...

Yes.. its true..

our church was having a Pet Blessing cermony yesterday and Riot and Jada attended lol

Riot was SOOO excited.. he thought it was a show - he was doing the prancing thing, tail medium/high (like he does for shows), he was SOOO confused when we went to sit down in the pews lol

Jada was making herself right at home though - she was on the pew ready to go.. and yes.. she had to "talk" during the cermony as well.. lol
Typical mouthy little Sheltie..

My boyfriend took the pictures b/c I had Riot with me...
Here is Jada with my mom getting "blessed" by Our Father.

RIot getting Blessed.. he was a very good boy - the picture makes him seem like I had to holster him there, but I didn't. That is just how I hold him for a show which signals to him he MUST stand still for "examination" lol
But he waltzed right up the aisle to the priest sniffed him then stacked himself lmao!

Here is Jada watching at cat go up and get blessed - she was VERY interested in talking to it as well.. lol It was a siamese so it was talking back to her lmao

and Last one.. Riot checking out the dogs behind us lol Such a nosey little guy.. Hes giving my mom his paw on her shoulder.. he was sitting on the pew at this point too lol

Our Church usually does this once a year - its kinda fun as well though.

Its like a doggy play day after and also you get to meet all of the other peoples "other family members".

I love going to those services!

I think b/c Jada is tiny, fluffy and cute they all went "aww".. lol

Nopers, no other dogs barked - there were a few cats that were very vocal with their meows though..

Riot chimed in with his little girly whimpers b/c he couldn't go and visit all his "girlfriends" lmao

That was about it though hehe

We have a small congragation and its closely knit so we all know each other - which was nice

Our church is closely knit too!!!! It is really good knowing everybody!!!

I would love to do that with walker!! they did it in clearwater and they do it here but i cant usually get there when they do it. Booger was right after she became disabled. My stepmom took her to her church and the minister did it right there

That's really neat that they did that as I know a lot of churches sincerely don't believe that animals have souls so cannot possibly go to heaven. If that is the case, I had better start worshipping Satan now.

Almost all the Catholic churches in my area have a special "Blessing of the animals" in celebration of the feast of St. Francis, and our regional Bishop also has a big outdoor blessing.

Those are always so neat. I remember one child brought her pet chicken. She even painted her chicken's nails pink for the occassion! I should take Zeus and Voodoo. The demon child especially needs all the help he can get, lol!
