So I wrote the city SPCA about the shar pei they has up for adoption.

The email went something like this:

I was wondering if you would consider sending the shar pei you have to a rescue. As you know they are not a dog for everyone and rescues have great screening processes to make sure they go to a great home.

I got this back:

He has already been adopted out to a FINE home to a lady that knows what those dogs are like!

Well I hope they are right about that!

I know I hate to see certain breeds go through the HS or regular shelter. It is nothing against them.......they do the best they can, but some breeds especially will end up right back in the system or worse if they don't choose carefully. We all know that some breeds are much harder to deal with than others...................I feel that way everytime I see a Doberman in a regular shelter.

At least you tried STBB :(

Sometimes the SPCA people aggravate me. My aunt has a mutt, which she rescued, and when she got it it had it's tail nubbed, so when she went to rescue another dog, this time from the SPCA, they wouldn't let her because they accused her of chopping of her dog's tail:mad:

I wouldn't have even minded them having it but they don't give a crap about the animals out there. The only thing they care about it the money they get from them. They will give a dog to the first person that walks in with cash.
