Rescued Australian Shephard mix/mutt

I recently acquired an Aussie mix 6 month old puppy. I didn't know a ton about dogs in general and nothing about this breed in particular until I had the puppy. I want to raise/train him proroperly so I'm going to have a lot of questions for the forums.
