When you decided to get the Filas, did you know that you were going to get 2 of them eventually or did you get so mesmerized by Shiva's charm that you wanted another Fila? Just curious, no reason, I was looking at their pictures and I just wondered. I can see why you love them so much. They look like a lot of fun and exhaustion.

Shiva was actually our second Fila. Buffy, our first, was poisoned shortly after she turned two. Her birthday was Valentine's Day - very appropriate.

We wanted another pup from the same line, but the stars just weren't in alignment when Buffy's sister had a litter. We were missing a Fila and Bimmer was inconsolable and we found out about a litter down in Viola (Warren County), checked them out and got Shiva.

Judy and Gary knew we (ME) wanted a pup out of Buffy's line in the worst way so they kept me informed and when Buffy's half-sister, Cagney (same mother, different father) had a litter out of Gamble, Buffy's father, I knew Kharma was my baby. She was the only fawn female in the litter.

Gamble is magnificent. He's the dog on the opening page of Judy and Gary's website (www.defenderfilas.com) Kharma's mother is Cagney. I think there are photos of her littermate, Oliver on there too.

I am so sorry about Buffy, that would have really broken my heart. I was looking at the website and they really are such remarkable dogs. Beautiful creatures.

I am sure Bimmer was glad to have company again, but I bet he was pretty surprised when you brought the second one home! LOL! He must have thought to himself, what is she trying to do to me? LOL! No, I am sure he loves those two girls with all his heart. He is such a good boy.

He seems to make a connection between Kharma and Buffy. He loves Shiva, but Kharma is HIS. And she knows it. She takes full advantage, too, lol! Just like Buffy would have done . . .

Buffy broke Bimmer's heart and mine. All I ever had to do was stretch my hand out and her big head was right there. In the evening, laying around watching TV, Buffy wasn't contented until she was touching Charley and me in some way and she HAD to be touching Bimmer. Those two were inseparable.

sounds a lot like my Bronki..i still look up and expect to see him looking at me..as i am sure u still drop your hand..i don't think that ever goes away.

Poor Bimmer, I am so glad he has HIS Kharma to ease his sweet heart. He must watch over her very carefully though to make sure no one bothers her.
