Well I think that's how I feel about newfs. I really love all my mutts but Mav is just so good to have around the house. And I think that he would be a good nanny too

Having been converted to the little guys by my very first (and current) Chi, Jesse James, I now don't ever want to be with out at least one Chihuahua in my life (preferably a rescue). I simply adore them.

Since I've gotten Riot, I will more then likely always have a Tervuren or a Malinois around. i love the breed too much now

Well I love Labs and German Shepherds.
I probably will always have at least one of each.

In my experience these breeds have very different personalities/traits, but the traits the have in common are the good ones.

My dogs love the kids and I don't have to worry about the kids being too rough with them. (not disrespectful though). All of mine are as trustworthy as you can get around kids. As a matter of fact the dogs love it when the kids use them as a pillow to watch tv.

Working lined German Shepherds. I love the work drive that have and would never be without one.

Border Collie. Always, always. I have loved all of my dogs as the individuals they are, but there really is something about the BC as a breed that I connect with.. I've never met another breed quite like the Border Collie, they're almost human in intelligence and can comprehend and solve extremely complex problems. I'm forever obsessed!

I will always have mutts, they're wonderful, but I definitely will always have to have a border collie. They're the breed for me - Tippy was meant for me. Of course I love labs, too....and that jack russell attitude....I'd also love to get a Canaan.

I don't think I will have any more Newf's. I have had 7 Newf's in my life...and my brushing hand is sore

They are lovely dogs, good disposition, gentle, great around all other animals even the most dog aggressive dog loves a Newf. It's just that darn coat. Plus I was very dissappointed that only 1 of my 7 Newf's could swim. One Newf (the one that could swim ) we competed in water rescue which was a blast. We also did carting.

All future dogs will be rescue's and short coated. I love the Rottweiler coat, hardy enough for winter, yet easy to groom. I will never ever take on another purebred dog.

AHA! Grace, you really DO need a Fila in your future . . . Just the thing to keep your BCs happy and amused, as Filas will carefully plan out and CAUSE extremely complex problems . . .
