That time of year folks !!! Save that dog hair as you groom and stick into a mesh bag ,,, ( onion, pots, oranges or grapefruit ) . Hang where you can watch the nesting birds go nuts over it !!

I never thought of that. What a great idea! My yard is full of nesting boxes and I just cleaned them out too.:)

I got the idea years ago when I saw a titmouse gathering hair off our patio . What a riot !!! His mouth was so full , he looked like Santa Claus. !! One special year , we found a nest made out of EliN's grey horse's tail .......she still has it ...( nest , not horse! )

you said the evil b word grammy shame on you LOL. I need to brush walker tonight ill prolly leave his fur out if i see any bird lately they have been nesting in the woods and not closer to the house.

aww. this made me sad.

this is the first spring without Cody, and the first time i won't be hanging up his hair for the birds :(

First without my dog too. No birds liked Max's fur, shar pei fur is no exactly soft :D . But I'll do it with the cat's fur, great advice Grammy!

We tried doing that, but for some reason the birds don't seem to like Fritz's fur..not sure why since it's so soft.

Will be interesting if they like Ollie fur .... more curly and coarse than Golden's .
